Everyday Skincare Routine
Let's Talk about Regimens,
A Regimen is a systematic plan for some kind of therapy. In this case, skin care therapy! There are various options and combinations to consider when creating a skincare regimen because everyone's skin is different. There are different parts of your skin that requires multiple methods of care. Here are my tips to help guide you in building a successful Skincare Regimen with us.
Remember: There is a four to six week window that allows a full skin-cell turnover to take place, which is when you can usually start to see all the benefits from your new skin care products.
Know Your Skin
Oily
Oily skin is the result of the overproduction of sebum from sebaceous glands. Sebum isn't all bad since it helps protect and moisturize your skin and keep your hair shiny and healthy. Too much sebum, however, may lead to oily skin, which can lead to clogged pores and acne.
Combination
Combination skin is having oily skin in some areas of your face and dry skin in other areas. Normally, there's a mix of oily and dry areas on different parts of your face, with the t-zone (forehead, nose, and chin) being slightly to very oily.
Dry
Dry skin can be a result of MANY things so don't be alarmed! It's a symptom that indicates a more serious diagnosis. But in most cases, dry skin is caused by environmental factors that remove moisture from the skin.
**NOTE: Taking the time to know your skin will save you time and money when taking care of it. It's our most neglected organ.

Create Your Regimen
Cleanser
Proper skin cleansing clears pores of debris to prevent dirt buildup, allowing the sebum oil to reach the skin surface; decreasing the chances of a breakout and kill bacteria. (Ew, I know.)
Toner
Toners can help to close pores and tighten cell gaps after cleansing, reducing the penetration of impurities and environmental contaminants into the skin. We encourage toners that are humectants, which means they help to bind moisture to the skin.
Moisturizer
A good moisturizer can help prevent dry skin. It can protect sensitive skin, improve skin tone and texture, ultimately leaving your skin GLOWING. As moisturizers hold water in the outermost layer of skin, they also act as a temporary barrier for your skin. Crusty skin is not in, okay.
Deep Clean / Exfoliator
Masking and/or exfoliating your skin can get rid of any dead skin. Be gentle: Make sure you don't scrub your face too often, and when you do, scrub lightly. Rubbing too hard and too frequently will only cause more harm than good to your skin. We suggest doing so 1-3x week. There are two bomb masks available on our site right now!
